UC Davis article

(May 24, 2018 Davis, California) Are you interested data imaging and statistical analysis but also a Bigfoot researcher? This informative session may be for you.  The University of California Davis is hosting a informal lesson on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 1PM to 3PM in the DSI Classroom (room 360 Shields Library). The learning session is being made possible by a collaboration between UC Davis Library’s Data Management Program & the UC Davis Center for Spatial Sciences.

From the U.C. Davis Center for Spacial Sciences:

"Come learn to predict species distributions based on observation data, using R. Following a tutorial from Rspatial.org, Elise Hellwig will coach us through modeling the distribution of Sasquatch using the R programming language."

What the Sasquatch observational data is that the educators will be using has not been specified, however the most likely source where the data will come from is the database of sightings collected by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO).

We asked the U.C. Davis Center for Spatial Sciences if the statistical models would be available after this session and have not received a reply as of the time of this article's writing. However, at the time of this article's writing, we had to get out of the pool because of a nearby thunderstorm. It's Memorial Day weekend... I don't blame anyone for not returning correspondence.
